Kilpatrick Townsend Recognized as Best Law Firm Solution Finalist in Relativity Innovation Awards at Relativity Fest

Atlanta, Georgia - October 1, 2019 - Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP today announced that they have been named a finalist in the Relativity Innovation Awards at Relativity Fest for Best Law Firm Solution for their LitSmart® AutoTasker.

The LitSmart® AutoTasker was developed to address a need to streamline and automate routine manual tasks that occur across all Relativity workspaces and ensure consistency of processes. As an example, within Relativity, a series of sequential steps requiring manual input at each stage must take place every time data is loaded to a workspace. With the LitSmart® AutoTasker, these steps are customized and run automatically once data has been loaded without the constant oversight and interaction of a LitSmart team member, resulting in more consistent and efficient workflows and a measurable decrease in time spent on routine manual tasks.

Relativity will recognize finalists and announce winners during a special ceremony on October 23rd at Relativity Fest, the annual e-discovery conference that will be held October 20-23 in Chicago. The 10th annual Relativity Fest brings together more than 2,000 attendees from around the world together for a three-day event featuring engaging panel discussions, hands-on labs, breakout sessions, and insights from both Relativity team members and end users.

The Relativity Innovation Awards is an annual competition celebrating organizations that use Relativity in creative ways, solving difficult or unique challenges within and outside of e-discovery. Judges selected solutions that use various application integration points to display an extensive use of Relativity’s APIs to streamline processes, solve complex workflow needs, and create an altogether new solution that positively impacts business strategy. The Relativity community also has a chance to vote for their favorite finalists’ innovation for the Community Choice Solution.

    Sunlight Financial L.L.C. v. Hinkle, et al., 2022 WL 17487686 (S.D.N.Y. Dec. 7, 2022) highlights the importance of negotiating strong stipulation orders that protect your client's interests. In this case, the Stipulated Amended Preliminary Injunction Order was overly broad and failed to carve out information that the defense believed to be the confidential, proprietary, or trade secret information of third parties. As a result, the corporate defendant was required to produce documents for forensic examination that had questionable relevance to the specific allegations of the Plaintiff and exposed the defendant to potential future litigation.
